Les Assises de l'économie de la mer

Since their creation, the Assises have become the leading gathering for maritime stakeholders in France and one of the benchmark events in Europe.

Organized by le marin and Ouest-France, in partnership with the French Maritime Cluster (Cluster Maritime Français), this event brings together more than 1,700 participants each year from all sectors connected to the sea: political decision-makers, business leaders, industrial companies, military representatives, local authorities, researchers, NGOs, start-ups, ports, and institutions.

Over two days, through a comprehensive program featuring conferences, panel discussions, interviews, award ceremonies, and networking opportunities, the Assises provide in-depth analysis of the major challenges facing the maritime world, including:

  • competitiveness and economic sovereignty,
  • technological innovation,
  • maritime spatial planning and coastal development,
  • the ecological and energy transition,
  • employment, training, and the professions of the future.

Association under the 1901 law created in June 2023 by Sabrina Barré and Jade Ricouart, ASTRES has quickly become the leading collective for students and young professionals passionate about the space sector in France. By bringing together young enthusiasts from diverse academic backgrounds, we aim to create an agora where varied ideas and perspectives can help shape France’s future space strategy. By emphasizing diversity and gender parity, we demonstrate that the space sector is accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or gender, in order to encourage young people to consider careers and missions in this rapidly growing field.

Cluster Maritime Français

Created in 2006, the French Maritime Cluster (CMF) brings together all stakeholders in the maritime ecosystem, from industry to services and maritime activities of all kinds. It is now composed of nearly 500 entities: companies of all sizes, competitiveness clusters, federations and associations, laboratories and research centers, schools and training organizations, local authorities and economic actors, as well as the French Navy.

Dragonfly Partners 

Founded in 2022, Dragonfly Partners is a private and independent French consulting firm specializing in support for security and defense markets and related challenges. The space sector, particularly in its dual-use dimension, is one of our key areas of expertise. As such, the firm has a strong command of both defense issues and operational requirements, and supports its clients in developing solutions that address these challenges and meet these needs.

Eurocloud

Since 2007, EuroCloud France has been the French representation of EuroCloud, the leading European organization for the cloud computing sector, bringing together more than 1,500 member companies across 31 countries. As a network of cloud and AI stakeholders in Europe, EuroCloud France plays a crucial role in supporting the digital transition in France and in fostering the rapidly expanding cloud ecosystem.

Institut National des Affaires Stratégiques (INAS)

A recognized public-interest organization, the National Institute for Strategic Affairs (INAS) aims to foster a culture of sovereignty-related issues, strengthen cohesion between public and private stakeholders, and contribute to applied strategic thinking in industrial and dual-use technological sectors.

Le Pôle Safe

The SAFE competitiveness cluster covers four sectors: aeronautics, space, security, and defense. As part of Phase 5 of the clusters (2023–2026), SAFE has chosen to align the development of its sectors with four challenges—major societal issues for both the sectors and the regions, requiring a collective and multidisciplinary response: industrial and territorial resilience; sustainable mobility and autonomous systems; digital transition and security; and energy and environmental performance.

 SAFE brings together more than 450 members, mainly located in the Southern Region, two-thirds of which are companies. SAFE is one of the three clusters in the national aeronautics and space sector. It is also an active contributor to the work of the Strategic Committee for the “Security Industries” sector and a recognized player in defense innovation. Its actions are also aligned with ministerial priorities in the areas of energy transition, ecological transition, and regional resilience.

Created by journalist and author Antoine MEUNIER, Lachroniquespatiale.com is a news website covering developments in the space sector through various sections (Space transportation, Satellites, Human spaceflight, etc.). A significant focus is regularly placed on technology. The site’s content, available by subscription, is aimed both at industry professionals and the general public. SPACE International

SPACE International magazine offers a geopolitical perspective on space-related issues. Featuring news, analyses, interviews, and diverse content, it explores the ambitions of global powers in space. Each quarter, it delivers 100 pages written by French and international specialists. The magazine is distributed in newsstands, in digital format via platforms such as Factiva and PressReader, at trade shows and conferences, and by subscription. It is also available on Areion24.news, Air France Play, and other digital channels.

SPACE ROBOTICS PLACE

Initiated by the Robotics Place cluster, Space Robotics Place aims to bring together robotics companies and New Space companies to design, in France and in close collaboration between experts from both sectors, the future robotic solutions dedicated to space. Fun fact: The Space Robotics Place project took shape following a visit to the Assises du NewSpace in 2023.

SWAN

A global volunteer-led initiative committed to empowering women in the space sector. We believe the future of space must be inclusive, and we are here to help make that happen. Through mentorship, visibility, advocacy, and community, SWAN supports women at every stage of their journey, from students and early professionals to experienced leaders.

French Space Club

The French Space Club, created at the initiative of French stakeholders involved in the space sector, aims to serve as a strategic relay to decision-makers by emphasizing political and institutional awareness.
